Biking Viking in Visordown During the summer the days are long in Iceland and therefore it is possible to ride through the night with plenty of light. John Cantlie, the editor of Visordown in UK visited Biking Viking in late june to experience the Longest Day tour. We took him into the highland to the tip of the Langjokull glacier where we stopped at two minutes to midnight, talk about perfect timing. The article is out now and you can read about Johns experience in our history section. Biking Viking opens motorcycle service
Biking Viking has opened a motorcycle service station at Langholtsvegur 111 in Reykjavik. The garage is well equipped to service any kind of motorcycles but the main focus is on touring bikes and enduros. For people travelling on their own motorbikes in Iceland a service in Reykjavik is now possible. Biking Viking has long experience with BMW motorcycles and offers computer reading for them as well as any kind of service, from tire change to motor overhauls.
Changes for the 2009 Season For the 11th year of operation Biking Viking has joined forces with World of BMW in the UK and together we have put extra five tours on our calendar. Two of them are completely new tours around Iceland and the Westfjords and two are highlandtours with the famous off road specialist Simon Pavey who is a veteran of the grueling Dakar rally. The last but not the least is a women only tour covering the highlights of Southwest Iceland, ending in the Blue Lagoon. For that Biking Viking has recruited two women guides who will lead that tour.
